Roadmap

Built where the problem lives.

Most export software is built by people who have never shipped a container. Export Dossier is built inside a company that exports real produce today — which means every stage of the roadmap below is sequenced around where the firsthand pain actually is, not where it looks good on a map.

Geographic rollout

Rwanda, then outward.

00Now

Rwanda — pilot

Export Dossier is pilot-tested by a small group of Rwanda-based export companies — starting with Acres' own shipments of avocado, French beans and chilli. Every stage of the workflow is shaped against a real exporter's real deals before anyone else sees it.

01Next

East African Community

Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, DRC and South Sudan share trade corridors, overlapping compliance regimes, and many of the same buyers as Rwanda. The EAC is the natural first expansion — a regional market Bytes & Acres already treats as a market of interest.

02Then

Africa, continent-wide

Extend beyond horticulture into the other major agricultural export economies — coffee, tea, cocoa, grains — adapting the resource and compliance templates each commodity and corridor needs.

03Then

GCC

Acres already exports to the Middle East. The next step turns that existing buyer-side relationship into platform reach — bringing GCC-based buyers and trading companies onto Export Dossier directly, not just as an export destination.

04Global

Any exporter, any corridor

A workflow that already handles multi-currency deals, multiple languages, and varied compliance regimes extends to any export corridor in the world.

Product roadmap

What's next, beyond the dossier.

These are planned directions, not shipped features — each one grows directly out of data the workflow already captures. The per-deal completeness you see today — documents obtained, risks mitigated, payment terms set — becomes an explicit Readiness Score. Your organisation's profile becomes a portable Trade Passport other parties can review on its own.

Deal Rooms

Planned

A single, permissioned, revocable view of one deal — its dossier, its proforma — and nothing else from the workspace. The first use: matching vetted exporters with vetted international buyers directly inside Export Dossier, without exposing anything but that one deal.

Trade Passport

Planned

Your organisation’s address, logo, tax ID and certifications already travel into every dossier. A Trade Passport makes that profile itself shareable on its own — a portable, evidence-backed identity a buyer or financier can review before a deal even starts.

Escrow and trade finance

Planned

Payment held in escrow against shipment milestones, directly addressing the "buyer delays or defaults on payment" risk every deal already tracks — reducing counterparty risk for both sides without a bank-only L/C process.

Financing against the dossier

Planned

Since every deal already carries verified costs, margins and buyer terms, a completed dossier — or a Trade Passport with a track record behind it — is a natural basis for invoice factoring or pre-shipment finance, in partnership with lenders.

Logistics and freight booking

Planned

Connect the "Payment terms" and shipment data already captured to freight-forwarder and customs-broker booking, closing the loop between paperwork and physical movement.

Compliance and certification network

Planned

Direct integration with certification bodies and inspection agencies so compliance status updates automatically rather than being tracked by hand.
